James stays active within the Denturist profession having served on the WDA and NDA board of directors and is a current member of the advisory board for the Denturist program at Bates Technical College. When he is not helping people with their smiles he enjoys time outdoors with his family; traveling, camping, mountain biking, snowboarding and hiking.

Chris Chapman is a licensed denturist and co-owner of WestCoast Digital Denture and Implant Center, which he runs with his wife, Melanie, across their clinics in Hood River, The Dalles, and Hermiston, Oregon. Since becoming a denturist in 2001 through George Brown College’s International Denturist Education Program, Chris has focused on delivering consistent, patient-centered care. In recent years, he’s helped lead the clinic’s shift from traditional methods to digital denture workflows. In addition to specializing in complete, partial, and implant overdentures, he’s guiding the team as they expand into digital All-on-X treatment. Ron Farris

The Denture Studio

Owner of The Denture Studio in Gresham, Oregon. He started his career in the Navy in 1970 at the Dental “A” School, and in 1972 at the Prosthetics “C” School and opened the Farris Dental Lab in 1976. He was a certified Dental Technician for 30 years. He designed and managed the Kaiser Dental Lab from 1985-86, and graduated from the Oregon Denturist College in 1987-88, and became a Licensed Denturist in 1989. He completed Mills Grae University graduating in 2000. Ron has stayed active in the Denturist Community over the years becoming the First Chairman of the Oregon State Board of Denture Technology in 1990. In this role he was responsible for taking a Denturist from: Certified Denturist to Licensed Denturist with state statutes and accredited education. He has spoken on numerous continuing education topics both statewide and locally. This includes presenting at the 2015 9th World Symposium on Denturism in Alexandria, Virginia. He currently serves on the Oregon State Board of Denture Technology.

Leon Hermanides, CDT

Leon Hermanides graduated from College in South Africa with a National Higher Diploma in Dental Technology, the equivalent of a Bachelors Degree in the USA.  He has worked in South Africa, London and Seattle dental laboratories specializing in all stages of advanced reconstructions, implants and anterior esthetics.

 Leon is a Clinical Instructor and Scientific Advisor at Dr. John Kois’ Kois Center programs and a member of study clubs around the Puget Sound area. He has served as President of the Washington State Dental Laboratory Association in 2012 and 2025, as the Chair of the Foundation for Dental Technology in 2014 and 2015. Additionally Leon serves on the Advisory Board for the Dental Technology program at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA.

Leon has published articles on implants and comprehensive restorative rehabilitation in both clinical and technical journals. He has lectured internationally to clinical and technical groups on subjects ranging from implant restorations to esthetics and restorative failures.

In 1998 Leon established Protea Dental Studio in Redmond, Washington; a dental laboratory that specializes in providing comprehensive, implant and anterior restorative cases.  Protea Dental Studio, Inc has built its reputation by implementing a systematic approach to ensure consistent, predictable results.

Frank Huang, J.D., LL.M.

Frank Huang, J.D., LL.M. is a Corporate Vice President and Advanced Planning Consultant with New York Life Insurance Company, supporting agents working in the Pacific Zone. With extensive expertise in Exocad, photogrammetry, and digital workflows, Matt has also developed a strong professional relationship with Nobel Biocare, serving as their Exocad and digital full-arch expert. In this role, he provides advanced Exocad training and digital design services to some of the region’s top dentists and prosthodontists.

Rob has 19 years of dental industry experience. He co-founded FullContour.com, the world’s first outsource dental design center. After 3Shape acquired FullContour in 2017, Rob served as the CEO for six years. In 2020, Rob lead the launch of 3Shape Automate, the worlds first dental CAD AI Design platform.

Kristi is currently employed with Dentsply Sirona, US Lab, as a Technical Specialist with over 35 years’ experience in the dental laboratory field.

Kristi joined our lab team in 2002, upon the launch of our Eclipse® Prosthetic Resin System, and has become proficient with all of our Dentsply Sirona products lines and has become an integral part of our Technical Center in York, Pennsylvania and our new Dentsply Sirona training Academy in Charlotte, NC. During the years 2010-2013 Kristi was part of an elite team. Trainings annually for Fixed and Removables CDT’S, Clinicians, University Faculty and Students, and Soldiers in the United States Military.  Specializing in the Removables technical field, Kristi has developed strategies and efficient solutions to troubleshoot customer challenges and is proud to work alongside of our Dentsply Sirona customers and sales force daily.

Keith Phillips, DMD, MSD, CDT, FACP

Keith M. Phillips received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, a certificate in Prosthodontics with an M.S.D. from the University of Washington and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Prosthodontics as well as a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists.  After completion of his postdoctoral training Dr. Phillips became Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine as well as Chief of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.  Dr. Phillips returned to the University of Washington to become the Director of the Graduate Program in Prosthodontics from 1996 to 2004 and was Associate Director from 2004 to 2009. He is currently an affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington, The University of Southern California, and The University of Pennsylvania. He has written several peer reviewed papers and book chapters, is a reviewer for numerous journals and is a past Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Dental Association. He maintains a private practice in Tacoma, Washington with major areas of focus on periodontal prosthodontics, Implant surgery, and implant assisted oral reconstruction.

Adnane Rhazzal

Adnane Rhazzal is a Divisional Retirement Plan Counselor at Capital Group, home of American Funds, covering Northern California and Pacific Northwest. He has 10 years of industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 8 years. Earlier in his career at Capital, he was an Area Sales Representative. Prior to joining Capital, Adnane worked as a Regional Internal Consultant at Nationwide. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in business management from The Ohio State University. John Summer, DDS

He graduated Johns Hopkins University in 1973, then University of Maryland Dental School in 1979. Practiced dentistry in a refugee camp in Malaysia for the International Rescue Committee of the UN in 1981-1982.
